Checked into the Crowne Plaza Shenyang Park View in the evening. This is probably the only decent IHG hotel in Shenyang.
The hotel is relatively new, and the exterior design is quite unique… The interior style isn’t very modern, but it’s already considered quite good for Northeast China…
It’s just a two or three-minute walk from the Beiling Park Metro Station; cross the intersection and you’re there. The unique building is easy to spot.
Service was good. As a Platinum member, I was upgraded directly to an Executive Room with full benefits. Located in a corner on the 16th floor, the room has windows on two sides.
The room was warm and spacious, featuring a Slumberland mattress that provided a great night’s sleep~~~
However, it’s surprising that such a new hotel still uses magnetic stripe key cards…
The elevator buttons are also poorly designed; the lowest button is placed so low that you have to bend over to press it..
The swimming pool is nice, but the gym is rather small. Surprisingly, there were no bottled waters available, only paper cups… Sweat..
The lounge is on the 5th floor with a fantastic environment—truly upscale and impressive—but the quality of the Happy Hour was quite poor…
Only the fruit and beef jerky were decent… As for afternoon tea, there were only drinks, no food at all…
