Hangzhou Xianghu Xiaoyao Manor

Xianghu is located in Xiaoshan District, quite a distance from downtown Hangzhou. Nearby attractions include Hangzhou Polar Ocean Park, Hangzhou Amusement Park, and Jinsha Water Play Area. In 1995, the Xianghu Tourism Resort was established. On April 25, 1999, Hangzhou Amusement Park opened. In 2002, the Kuahuqiao Site gained unprecedented public recognition. In 2003, taking the opportunity of hosting the first World Leisure Expo, the Xianghu Tourism Resort initiated the development of Phase I of Xianghu, which was completed and opened on April 22, 2006. In 2011, Phase II of Xianghu was completed. In 2016, Phase III of Xianghu was filled with water, restoring the ancient “gourd shape” of Xianghu.

There are sightseeing boats on the lake that shuttle between Hushan Square and the Kuahuqiao Site. There are also performances showcasing the elegance of Xianghu, as well as helicopter experiences and other activities~

Because this area is far from the city, it is particularly suitable for vacations. The main hotels here include New Century Boosen, Freedom Manor, and Xiaoyao Manor.

Xiaoyao Manor is arguably the most upscale of the three. Owned by Wanxiang Group, its overall style is very modern New Chinese. The hotel itself is built on a hillside, with several buildings arranged in an artfully staggered layout. It is very convenient for self-driving visitors. The natural environment surrounding the hotel is excellent, though commercial facilities are not well-developed, making it somewhat difficult to find places to eat.

The hotel opened in 2020 and has a total of 181 guest rooms. Rooms start at 45 square meters; however, they are not equipped with double sinks. That said, all room types feature large balconies, which is a nice touch.

Right outside the window is Xianghu Lake, but there is a construction site blocked by a panel, which somewhat obstructs the view.

The front desk area feels a bit cramped.

The hotel’s public areas are very spacious and beautifully decorated; there are so many young ladies taking photos here~~~

This karesansui (dry landscape garden) area is especially beautiful.

Outside the hotel entrance, there is a rockery and a waterfall.

The elevator lobby is also very spacious and features plenty of design elements—it would be perfect if it weren’t for these two advertising boards.

There is a gym, spa, billiards room, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, book bar, mahjong/chess room, and children’s playground~~

This place is quite suitable for a one-night vacation stay, though there aren’t many nearby places to visit~~
