Every year, my birthday happens to coincide with the blooming of the cherry blossoms at Tongji University, so returning to campus annually to enjoy the flowers has become a tradition. While I’m there, I also take the opportunity to see what changes have taken place on campus and in the surrounding area… I have to say, the changes are truly remarkable… Areas that used to look run-down have been renovated, and abandoned old buildings have been restored and repurposed. The Alumni Association now has its own dedicated space, featuring a wide variety of merchandise—all well-made and affordably priced. There’s even a lucky draw during the Cherry Blossom Festival~~

The cherry blossoms are here… It’s absolutely packed with people, but the view is still gorgeous~~~

Although two trees in Sanhaowu were blown down by a typhoon, the little pavilion is still quite nice…

Both the main campus and the Jiading campus now feature Ganqishi, a steamed bun chain founded by Tongji alumni—and it’s the upscale 3.0 version, no less…

Up on the Comprehensive Building~~

Don’t forget to visit your alma mater often—see you next year~
