Hey, welcome to my world! I’m SJW, the website master. This site came into existence on my 20th birthday. I built this site to make friends from all over the world and to share interesting things with them; I anticipate that this site will provide me with many unforgettable memories.

I was born in Changchun, a city in northeast China. At ten years old, I had the opportunity to join a computer club that inspired a deep-seated fascination with computers. Little did I know that this club would provide me with a solid foundation in computer science and make it my life. Not only did I write programs and play with brand new software, but I also researched, read about, and experimented with anything that had to do with computers.

However, as I grew older, my fascination dwindled. I decided to follow a different path at Tongji University in Shanghai. My interest in computer science lasted until sophomore year. I discovered a new passion: the arts. The arts exposed me to new food, music, and photography, which strengthened my overall appreciation for the good things in life. I became an optimist. And, even during my most troublesome times, this new found passion made me jubilant. Unlike computer science, I gained a revitalized perceptive on life.

Perhaps the reason for my sudden disinterest in computer science is, in part, due to the Chinese school system. I feel that China’s educational system is unprofessional due to its rampant piracy. I don’t see a future in the software industry. Realistically speaking, I view computers as having a multitude of practical applications in my daily life; However, I do not see it as my full-time profession.

Currently I do web / graphic design and commercial photography as a freelancer in Shanghai. Feel free to contact me from my contact page.
