These two restaurants—one American, one Spanish….
There are many TGI Fridays in the US, and they’ve expanded all over the world….
They opened in Shanghai a long time ago but then closed down?
There are a few locations in Beijing, and this year they finally returned to Shanghai,
opening a flagship store right next to Super Brand Mall in Lujiazui.
So now this area has Element Fresh, Hooters, Blue Frog, and this place—four American restaurants in total…
And amazingly, all four are within sight of each other… Pretty magical~~~
Since it’s an American restaurant, the portions are huge…
The ambiance here is pretty nice, but later at night the music can get a bit loud.
The service is standard American style—very friendly~~~~
Rainbow Salad: includes cheese, eggs, chicken, lettuce, cauliflower, tomatoes, cucumbers, etc…
The dressing is honey mustard, which is a bit heavy; I still prefer the refreshing salad dressing at Element Fresh…
The famous ribs are quite well done, with a nice sweet glaze~~~
The outdoor seating is completely unusable in summer. Even with the cooling mist, it’s only a good option when the temperature is mild.
Las Tapas specializes in paella and tapas.
Tapas come in small portions, so you can try many different varieties~~~~
The paella is just as described in my previous blog post; honestly, it’s better to just come here for the tapas…
The atmosphere is average, and it gets a bit noisy when it’s crowded. The nearby Element Fresh has a nicer ambiance~~~
Follow their WeChat account to get 50% off~~
The flavor is average, and it’s a bit too oily.
This tastes great, and the shrimp are nice and large.
The lamb chops taste excellent—highly recommended.
The paella is not recommended.
You can get a coupon on Dianping for a freebie~~~
Drinks are 30 RMB before 7 PM daily.
Finally, here are two photos of the Element Fresh in Jinqiao…
