This restaurant has a magical name… Thai Seeds… It sounds like “Crown Prince” when pronounced…
The restaurant is located right at the intersection of Julu Road and Fumin Road, with its signboard and outdoor seating clearly visible from the street.
The interior ambiance is great and the service is good too. Regular prices are not low, averaging 170 RMB per person.
Even with group-buy deals, it’s not exactly cheap, but at least it’s much more cost-effective than ordering à la carte.
Judging by its location and positioning, it seems to be competing with Coconut Paradise nearby.
However, it’s noticeably brighter inside at night compared to Coconut Paradise, so it really depends on personal preference.
Since it was raining, I couldn’t take photos of the exterior. The interior is quite spacious, so let’s talk about the food instead.
Thai Boneless Chicken Feet: Tastes great, sour with a hint of spice, very appetizing~~~
The skewers tasted average, the meat texture was mediocre, and the curry dipping sauce was just okay.
Chiang Mai Nourishing Chicken Soup: The soup itself is delicious, but there’s very little chicken in it—you wouldn’t even know it was chicken soup if you weren’t told…
Steamed Snakehead Fish with Green Lime: This fish dish is well-prepared; the flesh is very tender with a slight kick of spice.
Red Curry Beef: I’m satisfied with the flavor of the curry, but the beef is very lean and the meat is a bit tough.
Stir-fried Pork Slices with Basil: Well, it’s pork—no matter how you stir-fry it, it’s always delicious~~~
Stir-fried Water Spinach with Shrimp Paste: A classic Thai dish, well-executed, though the flavor is relatively mild.
All of the above, plus a pot of pandan tea and rice, were just enough for three people to get full, so the portion sizes aren’t huge~~~
Finally, here are two photos of the birthday cake…
This cake is topped with assorted berries and has two layers inside: the top half is Midsummer Wild Berry ice cream, and the bottom half is chocolate ice cream. It’s so delicious~~ Haha.
