I’m back in Changchun. My flight was originally scheduled to arrive at 20:00 on the 8th, but it was delayed by 5 hours, so I didn’t get to Changchun until 1:00 AM on the 9th. Fortunately, MnVPt waited for me at the airport and drove me home; otherwise, I would have been in real trouble since there were barely any taxis left. Changchun hasn’t changed much, haha. The weather is dry and cold, hitting -20°C at night. There’s no internet at home, so right now I can only get online by tethering my computer to my phone. The 3G speed is actually pretty good, but the data allowance is quite limited~~~ I can basically just use QQ and stuff like that.
Alright, now let’s talk about this restaurant called Hanshe. It serves Taiwanese cuisine, but the flavor leans a bit Northeastern, haha—not very authentically Taiwanese. The dishes are slightly salty, though the ingredients are decent. The service staff could use some improvement, but overall I’m fairly satisfied. The prices aren’t expensive, the atmosphere is grand, and the space is huge. The tables are big, the sofas are big—it feels awesome for two people to have such a long table all to themselves, haha! As for the restroom, whenever someone stands in front of the sink, the entire row of faucets starts running water automatically. Seems a bit wasteful~~~~
I went back to Changchun at Feb, 8, the airplane got 5 hours delay, and I reached Changchun at 1am the next day… That was a tough day. Thanks to MnVPt waiting for me at the airport and pick me home.
Changchun is cold and dry, -20C every night~~~ I have no Internet connection here, so can’t get online much.
Okay, let’s talk about a new restaurant in Changchun, called Cookshop, it serves Taiwan food.
The environment there is great, big room, big table, big couch. Interesting restroom~~~
Pineapple, Fried Dough Stick, and Shrimp Salad—the taste is good, but the shrimp are a bit small, and the fried dough sticks are somewhat hard, getting even harder once they cool down.
Signature Three-Cup Chicken: the chicken is quite tender and tastes great.
