What I ate during my 3 days in Hangzhou~~ I’ve been to Hangzhou a few times, and all things considered, the food there has been rather disappointing… However, using the Hangzhou consumption vouchers was great; they were accepted at many places, offering 10 yuan off for every 40 yuan spent, which was quite a good deal~
Grandma’s Home: Located right downstairs from where we stayed. We went there on the first evening, but it was fully packed, and we had to wait over half an hour to get in.
Coral Shrimp: I’m not sure what the purpose of the coral is—is it just used as a base? The taste was okay, but I don’t understand why everyone on the review sites recommends this dish…

Tea Chicken: Aside from seeing a few tea leaves on the outside, I couldn’t taste a hint of tea at all… The skin tasted alright, but the meat inside was completely flavorless, and it got greasier the further down I ate… By the end, I felt sick of it…

Scallops: Tasted great, my favorite, haha.

Green Pea Paste: This item was wildly recommended on review sites, but my verdict is: it’s really awful…

This drink was probably the best thing here, though a bit too sweet~~

Zhiweiguan: A century-old establishment with the famous saying, ‘Dismount your horse at the scent, stop your carriage to savor the flavor.’ It covered our breakfast and dinner on the second day.
Zhiwei Wontons: Tasted good, with thin wrappers and generous filling.

Fresh Pork Xiaolongbao: Truly lives up to its reputation as a signature dish, hmm…

Chicken Broth Porridge: This order was a fail~~
Qianjiang Shredded Pork: Felt like Beijing-style Shredded Pork in Sweet Bean Sauce but without the scallions? Hehe, anyway, I don’t like scallions…

Braised Pork Belly: This tasted great, definitely top-notch~~~

Sun and Moon Scallops: The scallops themselves were good, but the preparation ruined them… Completely flavorless…

Baby Cabbage in Supreme Broth: Tasteless, just like plain water…

Mango Puff Pastry: Tasted great, exactly the type I like.

Pan-fried Shredded Pumpkin Cake: This one… the filling inside the cake was shredded pumpkin and… chili peppers… sweat…
U.B.C. Coffee: A national coffee chain. Went there once before leaving just to use up the remaining vouchers. As expected, it was terrible.
Appetizer: Made of squid, tangy, and had a nice texture.
Cream of Corn Soup with Puff Pastry Top: This one was actually pretty good.

A medium-rare steak that tough is beyond saving…
