It’s that time of year again for cherry blossom season. Normally, I’d head to Tongji University every year to enjoy the blossoms, but due to the pandemic this year, the campus is almost completely closed off, so I had to find an alternative spot. Fortunately, there are more and more places in Shanghai to see cherry blossoms now. For instance, the stretch from Hongkou Football Stadium to Lu Xun Park is absolutely lush with blooms—even before crossing the street, you can already feel a completely different atmosphere.
This location is incredibly convenient: it’s directly accessible by subway, it’s not inside a park, and there’s no admission fee. Plus, Dragon Dream Mall is right nearby if you want to grab a bite or do some shopping.
Let’s just take a look at the photos!
