I lived right next to South Lake Park from childhood into adulthood, and it became a great spot for everyday outings and walks. Nowadays I don’t get back to Changchun very often, and whenever I do, it’s always in the dead of winter~~ So I might as well capture some snowy scenes. Thinking back, the last time I posted photos of South Lake in the snow on my blog was ages ago, and that post is long gone~
This morning I took a long walk around the lake, covering about 5 km. It wasn’t cold today, and the air quality was pretty good too. It had just snowed a couple of days ago, so the snow cover was still quite thick. However, with temperatures rising recently, some of the snow melts during the day and refreezes at night, making the paths rather slippery and walking a bit tricky.
South Lake Park has undergone several renovations over the years and is now far better than it was when I was a kid; it has also expanded significantly. Every winter there are snow sculptures and all sorts of ice activities—kids must love it~~
