Suzhou Industrial Park is actually quite new compared to the old town of Suzhou; it’s essentially a development zone.
However, after so many years of construction, it has been developed quite thoroughly…
Both the software and hardware aspects have developed very well.
The commercial brands and shops that have moved in are definitely worth browsing, and since it’s right by the lake, there’s even a Ferris wheel~~
Now, let’s talk about the InterContinental Suzhou. This hotel has always enjoyed an excellent reputation. Whether it’s the service or the environment, everything is top-notch, and the facilities are very new.
They are also very generous to elite members, offering upgrades to Lake View Rooms with Club access included~~~
It’s very close to the metro station and remains consistently popular, often fully booked, especially on weekends.
The Suzhou Metro system is great. Walking out from the train station exit, you don’t have to go through any long corridors;
just turn a corner and you’re at the metro station. The transfer passages are also very convenient—just one floor up and you’re there.
The only downside is that the interval between trains can be a bit long.
Upon arriving at the hotel, my room was already prepared and the key card ready. The Guest Relations Officer escorted me directly to the room for check-in.
The room was excellent—52 square meters—with Jinji Lake right outside the window. I was very satisfied.
The Club Lounge is located on the top floor of the hotel, the 27th floor, featuring double-height ceilings and a very comfortable atmosphere.
You can overlook the entire Jinji Lake from the windows. The food is quite good, though the afternoon tea desserts were just average.
The evening Happy Hour is very extensive; on Saturdays, they even serve oysters, and San Pellegrino and FUJI water are freely available~~
Right next door is the Sky Lounge, a rooftop bar with a small outdoor terrace, which should be quite nice on summer evenings.
Night view of Jinji Lake outside the window—trying out a long exposure.

Actually, besides the lake view side, the city view on the other side is also very vibrant:

In summary, the hotel boasts a prime location, making dining, entertainment, and leisure extremely convenient.
The service is outstanding, they are very generous to members, the facilities are relatively new, and I really liked the decor style.
The lounge food quality is good with excellent service, and the breakfast offers a wide variety of choices, though it does get a bit crowded.
Overall, I was very satisfied—it’s a great choice for travel and vacation in Suzhou~~~~~
