Yayoi Kusama: A Dream of Mine, an exhibition held at the Museum of Contemporary Art Shanghai in People’s Park.
It ended at the end of March, so I went to check it out~~~
Yayoi Kusama is already 85 years old and is considered a national treasure-level artist in Japan. In the video, she appears wearing a red wig and polka-dot clothing throughout.~
Her works basically consist of all kinds of dots and pop art, so… those with trypophobia should proceed with caution~~
The weather was sunny and the air quality was excellent at the time, and People’s Park remained a popular spot for matchmaking postings.
Ticketing at this museum was a bit chaotic, with huge lines outside. You can get an annual pass to skip the line entirely, or buy tickets in advance on Gewara.
Then, after buying tickets and entering, you still had to line up separately for many popular exhibits… Once inside, it was dots everywhere…
The Clean Room was originally a pure white room where visitors applied various dots…
I went a bit late, so the dots were extremely dense……
One last shot of blue skies and white clouds at People’s Square….
