Both restaurants really went all out for Restaurant Week~~~
Because of this, reservations were instantly fully booked, and I only managed to get a table by snagging someone else’s cancellation.
glo London
I’ve already tried their Ribs and Roast Chicken before,
but this time, for Restaurant Week, they offered a 3-course brunch for just 78 yuan.
Truly a great value choice~~~~
Aside from the Scone served as dessert, the first two courses were presented together on one plate.
The appetizer was pancakes paired with a Full English Breakfast as the main course; the portion size was huge, and it tasted great too~~~
The appetizer was yogurt fruit granola; the sweet fruit and jam paired with yogurt were very nice~~~
The main course was Smoked Salmon Scrambled Eggs. The flavor was satisfying, the eggs were cooked perfectly tender, and the portion was huge…
Basically, I was already full before I could even finish these two dishes…
There was also a Scone, which didn’t have much flavor on its own, served with cream, jam, and butter.
This place has so many options to choose from; the ingredients are top-notch, and the food tastes great.
The service is decent, and the ambiance is nice, though it gets a bit noisy when it’s crowded.
I’ll definitely come back next time to try other dishes~~~
Shanghai Slim’s
Located in Sinan Mansions, I’ve been to this steakhouse once before, and thanks to Restaurant Week, I had the chance to visit again~~~
The restaurant is housed in a small villa with three floors and a tiny elevator~~~ The ground floor is mainly a bar, while the third floor is the dining area.
The pre-meal bread was quite good~~~
Appetizer: The Waldorf Salad isn’t as ubiquitous as the Caesar, but with its mix of fruit, walnuts, and celery,
it offers a unique texture that is very refreshing and tastes great~~
Appetizer: Porcini, Shiitake, and Truffle Cream Soup. This soup is rich in flavor and absolutely wonderful.
Main Course: Premium Angus Ribeye Steak, served with truffle red potato mash, creamed spinach, and port wine steak sauce.
They really went above and beyond here—for a 258 yuan three-course meal, they included a 14-day aged premium Angus ribeye that normally sells for 388 yuan per serving~~
In terms of meat quality, preparation, flavor, and portion size, there was absolutely no compromise despite the Restaurant Week discount; it was incredibly satisfying. Even the side dishes were delicious.
Main Course: Char-grilled Premium T-Bone Steak, served with baby potatoes and stuffed tomatoes. Although not as tender as the ribeye,
it is still a favorite among many, and the portion size is generous~~~
Dessert: Chocolate Pudding. It tasted amazing—not like pudding at all,
but more like eating a solid piece of chocolate; very generous with the ingredients. Even at a dedicated dessert shop, this would be considered top-tier.
Dessert: Tiramisu. Again, excellent flavor and high-quality ingredients.
Let’s take a look at the third-floor ambiance:

This restaurant left the deepest impression on me during the entire Restaurant Week. They use substantial, high-quality ingredients, the cooking is excellent, and both the environment and service are great.
Combined with the Restaurant Week pricing, the value for money is unbeatable. Their lobster is also a signature dish, so I might try that next time I’m around.
Walking down the stairs after the meal, I noticed the second floor features an open kitchen with a sign at the entrance that reads: Visitors Welcome.
