This place is all about the Friends theme, so fans of the show will probably be thrilled as soon as they see it.
The shop is located at the intersection of Wener Road and Xueyuan Road. In fact, there’s a bus stop called Huayuan Xicun right in front of it. It doesn’t look very big from the outside, but inside, the owner has meticulously recreated three iconic scenes from Friends: Central Perk café, Monica’s apartment, and Joey’s apartment. Although the actual space can’t possibly be as large as the sets on TV, the venue still covers over 300 square meters. There are two floors plus a mezzanine level that offers a view of the entire first floor.
I’m not sure if it was because I visited during off-peak hours, or perhaps because it had just opened and wasn’t widely known yet, but there were very few customers, which made for a really nice atmosphere. A TV in the shop was playing episodes of Friends, and the service was very enthusiastic. It’s a great spot for a casual get-together with a few friends.
The menu includes coffee, pastries, and Western-style main courses. The food tastes good, though the prices are on the higher side. Expect to spend around 100–200 RMB per person for a meal. Getting a membership card is more cost-effective, but it requires a minimum top-up of 500 RMB. Students get a 20% discount with a valid student ID, and credit cards are accepted. No other cards offer discounts, so clearly they haven’t done much promotional marketing.
Outside the shop

Aside from that bicycle… it looks pretty accurate…

Inside, this angle looks almost exactly like the one in the TV show~~~

The counter—just missing Gunther

Where Phoebe sings

You can go up to the second floor via the staircase on the side

A mix of real and replica

The second floor is mainly for dining~~

There’s also a small round table by the window~~

Monica’s Apartment

Joey’s Apartment

Chandler and Joey’s favorite Foosball table

Chandler and Joey’s favorite recliner chairs

On the mezzanine between the first and second floors, besides a few simple small tables, there’s also a large sofa seating area where you can enjoy a panoramic view of the entire first floor.

Monica’s Dessert Platter includes two green tea cookies, chocolate cookies, almond cookies, and a slice of cheesecake.
The cheesecake is quite good, and the cookies taste great when paired with the sweet cream on the side.

Iced Caramel Latte

But all this costs 90 RMB—isn’t that getting close to five-star hotel pricing?… Also, isn’t it kind of a waste to use those two rooms’ spacious areas just for display?~~~~
