I didn’t even know there was an Agricultural Expo until I happened to pass by here on my way to Jingyuetan. Seeing so many cars parked, I discovered it~~~~ As a major agricultural province, Jilin holds an Agricultural Expo every year. Originally, it was only held in summer, but starting last year, there is now a winter edition as well. Tickets are only 10 yuan, and with the ticket, you can also get a 20% discount on admission to the Puppet Imperial Palace, Changying Century City, or Jingyuetan during the expo period. It was my first time seeing so many vegetables available for self-picking, but since the event was nearing its end, most of the better ones had already been picked…
It is mainly divided into three exhibition areas: a 60,000-square-meter greenhouse, a Clivia exhibition area, and a flower exhibition area. Outside, there are also incredibly ugly lantern displays. The main exhibition area is this greenhouse, which is divided into many separate rooms according to different planting varieties. There are stalls selling New Year goods and snacks along the aisles, as well as a separate fishery exhibition area.
