Sanlitun is located in the central-western part of Chaoyang District. It got its name from being three li away from the inner city. It’s actually a very large area, and the most bustling part is probably Sanlitun Taikoo Li, developed by Swire Properties. Formerly known as Sanlitun Village, the South Zone features various restaurants and clothing stores, while the North Zone focuses mainly on luxury brands. Besides Taikoo Li, there are some residential buildings; to the east lies the Embassy District, and there’s a street in the middle lined with bars. To the south are the under-construction Sanlitun SOHO and Tongying Center, which will house Beijing’s third InterContinental hotel—the InterContinental Beijing Sanlitun.
For people living in Beijing, this should be a great place for shopping and leisure, but for those living in Shanghai… malls like this are quite common, and these kinds of brands can be found almost everywhere, so you might as well just take a look at the architecture~~~ Hahaha
P.S. It’s home to China’s first Apple Store, which is super tiny~~
Parkview Green is a unique architectural complex developed by Hong Kong’s Parkview Group, integrating shopping, leisure, dining, and office spaces~~~~ Although its exterior design is quite unconventional, the interior is pretty nice and definitely worth a visit, especially with all the art installations scattered throughout~~ It feels somewhat like an enlarged version of K11. The building is upscale and impressive, and the brands入驻 have clearly targeted the youth market. It also houses the only Tesla showroom in China—if it weren’t for wanting to see that Tesla, I might never have discovered this place~~~ Really love it~~~~
P.S. Right across the street is The Place. Although it boasts Asia’s largest LED screen—250 meters long and 30 meters wide—it displays video content for only a very short time… Most of the time, it just scrolls through text messages submitted by the public… Truly disappointing…..
