I visited Zhoushan during the Mid-Autumn Festival. Zhoushan is a coastal city, but it’s long and narrow; driving from one end to the other takes about an hour. Since it was my first time in Zhoushan and I wanted to see the ocean, I chose to stay at a hotel by the sea, which was also relatively close to Zhujiajian.
The Hilton Zhoushan is one of the newer hotels in the city. Geographically, it’s located in Putuo District, not far from the district government building or Kaihong Plaza, a famous shopping mall in Zhoushan. It sits right on the coast, with Zhujiajian and Mount Putuo directly across the water, and is also conveniently close to the bus station and ferry terminal. Clearly targeting tourists, the hotel typically offers lower rates on weekdays and higher rates on weekends, maintaining high occupancy. However, its overall vibe remains that of a business hotel. Facilities like the swimming pool, gym, and restaurants are relatively small and can’t fully accommodate demand during peak times. Fortunately, the surrounding area is fairly lively, so there’s no risk of boredom.
The hotel’s hardware is quite new, but the owner doesn’t seem overly extravagant, so it isn’t particularly luxurious. Nowadays-standard features like smart toilets and motorized curtains are missing—perhaps the Hilton brand tier just isn’t high enough? On the bright side, the rooms are spacious, and each comes with a balcony where you can enjoy a very comfortable sea view.

As a Diamond member, I was upgraded to an Executive Room on a higher floor. Aside from that, there didn’t seem to be much difference. Next time, I might ask if I can get upgraded to a corner room or something similar~~~ The room facilities are standard but fairly new, which is nice.
The Executive Lounge is pretty good—spacious and with tasty food. The Happy Hour offers a wide variety of dishes, and afternoon tea even includes some hot items. However, sparkling water was in short supply and ran out completely by the third day…

On the non-sea-view side, there’s this man-made lake:
The lobby isn’t particularly grand, and the Lobby Lounge is rather average:
In terms of service, there’s significant room for improvement. With so many newcomers in the hospitality industry these days, politeness is present, but something always feels missing. For example, no one escorts guests to their seats at breakfast, staffing in the lounge is severely inadequate, and turndown service seems to require a special request. Later, however, I saw posts on forums mentioning that turndown service sometimes includes gifts and mooncakes, which sounds nice… Unfortunately, I didn’t experience any of that during my three-day stay…
