The InterContinental Shanghai Puxi is a great local spot in Shanghai for hotel stays to earn points. The location is quite convenient, situated between Hanzhong Road and the Railway Station. It’s not far to walk to Hanzhong Road, and the route is relatively quiet. Since their current 40% off weekend rate only applies to Club rooms, an upgrade gets you to a Club Suite. The room is super spacious with good amenities, and with Club access, all your dining needs are basically covered. The Happy Hour features an incredible 10 hot dishes, including hearty options like braised pork belly and roasted lamb chops. Plus, the swimming pool and gym are excellent. You can gather some friends for a party, enjoy food and drinks, or work out. With the 40% off room rate on weekends and 20% off dining, it’s truly a fantastic place to spend the weekend. Highly recommend everyone give it a try~~~
I stayed here once before in the main building, and the experience was much less impressive. The room was significantly smaller, service was just average, and there was no breakfast included back then; I basically just slept over, which felt completely different from this visit. Oh, and the Japanese restaurant inside is mediocre—not really worth the price, so I wouldn’t recommend it.
