First, a photo of the downstairs area:

Chaos returned from Beijing and stayed briefly in Shanghai for two days, so we met up and had a meal together. The restaurant is on Nandan East Road; walking from Tianyaoqiao Road, turn onto Nandan East Road and walk a short distance to get there. We arrived early, so it wasn’t crowded. We sat by the window, and the ambiance was decent. The sashimi was somewhat average—we ordered one portion and didn’t order more. After all, the focus here is on grilled meat. The meat quality was quite good, and the sauces were nice too. Hmm~~~ the prices weren’t expensive either.
Sashimi platter—they only have albacore tuna:

Grilling:

Scallops, grilled yourself—ready to eat once the juices on top have evaporated:
Oysters, grilled yourself—quite small, but of course you can’t expect much from oysters at this kind of place:

Silver Cod, tasted pretty good:

Eel, a bit mediocre:
Prawn Tempura—it’s hard to find good tempura at Japanese buffets, and this place is no exception:

Chicken Wings, taste was just okay:

Ice Cream, not great, wouldn’t recommend:

Udon Soup, this one was actually quite good:
