Fish Eye Marine Park actually offers a shuttle service, but note that it comes with an extra fee and runs on a fixed schedule. Of course, you can also get here by public bus, which is what I chose this time. The first bus of the day departs quite late, usually around 10:00 AM or later. You’ll need to take a bus to Agana Shopping Center first and then transfer to the Hagatna Marine Bus. This route has limited service, so be sure to check the departure times in advance—if you miss one, you might have to wait about an hour.
The bus stops right at the park entrance, where you can buy tickets at a small booth near the gate. If you’re driving yourself, admission is $16; if you arrive by bus, you qualify for the group rate of just $12. And again, make sure to keep track of the return bus schedule so you don’t miss it…
After descending 72 steps, you reach a depth of approximately 9 meters underwater. From here, you can see fish swimming around and divers exploring the reef~~~
Back above water, you could easily spend a long time enjoying the ocean views from the observation tower—though I have to say, the wind up there is incredibly strong.
In the distance, you can spot Guam’s power plant~~
And then there’s the sea in all its shades of blue—the varying hues are mainly caused by sunlight reflecting differently off the sand and coral beneath the surface.
Finally, here’s a short video:
On the way back, I stopped at Agana Shopping Center and discovered Tony Roma’s—a restaurant that didn’t manage to stay open in Shanghai. Originally opened as an upscale location in the Shanghai Centre, it struggled to survive despite offering various 50%-off coupons. After relocating to the Expo Park area, it drew even fewer customers. But dining alone here made ordering ribs impractical, so I settled for a plate of pasta instead. The ingredients were top-notch, and the flavor was absolutely delicious~~~
