Now let’s talk about the hotels in Wanda Town. In terms of price (based on tonight’s lowest prices on Ctrip),
Park Hyatt is the highest tier, at around 2,300 RMB per night.
Sheraton, Westin, Holiday Inn Suites, Holiday Inn Resort, and Hyatt Regency are in the same tier, generally ranging from 1,000 to 1,500 RMB per night.
The ranking is basically as follows: Hyatt Regency>Westin = Holiday Inn Suites>Sheraton = Holiday Inn Resort.
Then there are Holiday Inn Express and Ibis, priced at around 550 RMB.
The cheapest option is Hallasan Senyuan Club, which looks like a Hanting-level hotel based on photos… only 380 RMB.
Overall, the renovation quality of the town’s hotels is quite average and somewhat rough; the best quality ones are Hyatt Regency and Park Hyatt.
Let’s discuss each of them individually:
Park Hyatt:
Like Indigo Tianjin, guest rooms are distributed across 10 villas, with a central lobby that also serves as a restaurant.
From the outside, it looks far less impressive than the others… but staying here should be an amazing experience…
One downside is that you step directly outdoors when leaving your room, which is very inconvenient in winter. Unlike other hotels where you can just go to the restaurant without bundling up…
It is also quite far from the commercial area.
Hyatt Regency:
This is actually the most recommended hotel. Both service and environment are excellent, and the restaurant is good too.
The decor style is grand and imposing. It has its own ski slope, which is very convenient. The back gate leads directly to the commercial area.
Holiday Inn Suites:
Simple decoration with rough details. Rooms are spacious—all suites with balconies and kitchens—but there is no restaurant.
It is closest to the commercial area; McDonald’s, KFC, and Pizza Hut are right downstairs, and it takes only 2 minutes to walk to the cinema.
However, service is practically non-existent; everything is self-service. Aside from daily housekeeping, they don’t even provide ice.
Breakfast must be taken at Holiday Inn Resort. Specific photos will be included in the next blog post.
Holiday Inn Resort:
Noticeably better than the Suites property, with full amenities and services available. The restaurant is located downstairs.
However, it is farther from the commercial area, requiring a 5-10 minute walk.
The drawback compared to the Suites is that these are standard rooms; for two people, the difference between sharing a twin room versus having two separate king rooms is quite significant.
Sheraton & Westin:
These two properties are actually connected. The buildings are close together, linked by a skybridge.
Service and dining feel significantly below the standards of these brands elsewhere…
Hardware is decent, but it’s a 15-minute walk to the commercial area, which is rather inconvenient.
Holiday Inn Express & Ibis:
I wouldn’t recommend these. They are incredibly far away, located past the villa area…
Without transportation, you can’t really go anywhere; walking to the commercial area would probably take half an hour…
Moreover, both are budget hotels with almost no room service,
and likely only have a basic restaurant… Very inconvenient overall…
In summary,
if paying out of pocket, Hyatt Regency is the top recommendation—location, facilities, and service are all excellent.
If redeeming points, Holiday Inn Suites is the best choice—it’s truly a bargain at only 10,000 points.
