At 376/378 Wukang Road, there is a small area called Wukang Courtyard, which includes a small building and a courtyard. It mainly houses restaurants, such as well-known chains like Coconut Paradise, Coffee Tree, and Azul, as well as popular independent spots like Farine, Pistacchio, and A Côté.
There are also handmade sofa shops and art galleries, so the area features quite a few artworks. Take this door, for example:

The main subject of this post is the Pistacchio restaurant. The dining space is very open and never feels crowded. There are sofa seats by the window, and heaters are thoughtfully provided nearby to keep you warm. Pistacchio serves fairly traditional Southern French and Northern Italian dishes. While not particularly innovative, they excel in using high-quality ingredients and preparing authentic cuisine.
The pre-meal bread selection is varied and delicious.
Salad: The fried poached egg was a real surprise—it was still runny inside—and the ham was also delicious.
The signature main course is Roasted Beef Tenderloin with Duck Foie Gras. Likely for cost reasons, they use duck foie gras instead of goose. Despite being fatty liver, it remains rich and flavorful; the advantage is that it isn’t as heavy as goose foie gras, which slightly reduces the guilt… The steak is filet mignon, cooked medium. It wasn’t extremely tender, but eating the two components together does elevate the overall texture. The mashed potatoes were also excellent.
The other non-signature main course, Roasted Duck Breast with Fried Polenta, was somewhat disappointing. The duck meat was a bit tough, the sauce was overly sweet, and the fried polenta had a slightly odd flavor.
For dessert, we had their signature Pistachio Soufflé. It was quite a generous portion, served with pistachio ice cream. It’s rare to find desserts with distinct pistachio flavor, perhaps because pistachios don’t have an overpowering taste on their own. True to form, the soufflé had a delicate pistachio aroma and was delicious.
The house-made Limoncello tasted great and has a decent alcohol content. I heard it’s meant to be drunk in one shot, but I couldn’t manage it…
