On an idle afternoon in August, with the weather being particularly nice, I wanted to find a place to climb high and gaze into the distance, and suddenly thought of this long-unvisited spot.
Living Room is the lobby lounge of Park Hyatt Shanghai, located on the 87th floor of the Shanghai World Financial Center. The last time I was here was probably around 2010. Returning after seven years, I found it still as beautiful as ever. Perhaps because its entrance is discreet, it hasn’t been discovered by throngs of tourists; while the adjacent observation deck was packed with crowds, it remained quite quiet here. Surprisingly, the prices are exactly the same as they were seven years ago—it’s simply unbelievable.
Although it isn’t as high as the observation deck and doesn’t offer 360-degree views, it is very peaceful, offering food, drinks, comfortable sofas, and a view facing the most worthwhile scenery—all without an admission fee~~ All things considered, it’s far more appealing than the observation deck.
When I first arrived, all the window seats were taken, but after waiting for less than an hour, I managed to get a seat by the window.
